1.  Use a splash pages.  The surfers only will view a page for less than thirty seconds and see hundreds of others every day so it needs to stand out and get their attention.  Sites with a lot of text will not get any response.  Instead grab their attention by using a good splash page.   For anyone that hasn't heard of them a splash page is a simple webpage that has images and just enough text to get attention of the surfer and make them curious enough to click through to the website to get more information.

2.  Build your email list.  Surfing exchanges are not the place for selling directly but for gathering leads.  That means putting an email lead capture form on the splash page or on the site linked from the splash page.  That way an advertiser using exchanges can follow up with the surfer. 

3.  Surf multiple exchanges at once.  To increase efficiency, save time and build credits rapidly it is important to use a browser such as firefox to be able to surf several exchanges at the same time. 

4.  Use downline builders.  A major goal of traffic exchange users should be to eventually have enough downlines generating enough free credits so they can surf less often.  The best way to achieve that goal is to use a downline builder for more than one exchange.
